About SPH
The School of Public Health at C.K Tedam University of Technology and Applied Sciences (CKT-UTAS) aspires to provide a sound scientific foundation and professional training to our students to be capable of addressing the public health challenges of their communities and countries and competing for national and international opportunities in the health sector.
The school also aims to equip graduates with sufficient knowledge and skills to produce healthier lives for themselves, their families, communities and society.
The school seeks to produce graduates as frontline staff and senior management positions in the Ghana Health Service/Ministry of Health and other auxiliary health organizations worldwide.
The school trains and equips Public Health personnel to render more effective public health services in the area of maternal and child health, disease prevention and control, epidemiology and biostatistics, mental health, monitoring and evaluation, health financing, research and information, and communication in public health.
It aspires to produce Public Health experts of international standards to drive the course of Universal Health Coverage (UHC).
Additionally, the school aims to produce public health personnel with entrepreneurial and managerial skills to provide good leadership that will accelerate the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3 of ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being.
