Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics

The department provides students with the essential tools to understand the causes of disease, and to identify effective and efficient strategies for prevention and treatment at the population level.

Epidemiology and Biostatistics are key disciplines in public health, and the department works towards providing high-quality education for undergraduate and graduate students.

The department collaborates with interdisciplinary teams and other departments across the university to improve health and strengthen our students’ research capability.

One of the objectives of the department is to provide specific services in biostatistical and bioinformatics consultations to researchers and students of the School of Public Health and the University as a whole.

With the increasing use of technology to provide health education and healthcare services, the department will develop and apply digital health to advance population health and health equity.
